Mentors

I am passionate about and dedicated to my own personal and professional growth. Beyond completing my formal education and earning advanced degrees, I continue to be a seeker of knowledge and regularly pursue my own in-depth development. For me, learning is a lifelong process, and I have been fortunate and blessed to have worked with many brilliant and masterful teachers to whom I am eternally grateful. They include:

Brugh Joy, M.D., author of Joy’s Way and Avalanche. Dr. Joy introduced me to the mystery of life and opened a door that I had not known existed. I am forever changed by what I experienced from his wisdom and guidance. Brugh affected the way I view behavioral patterns and emotional dynamics at a profound level, as well as the way I perceive the world. He taught me to view the human condition from a “what’s right about it” perspective, rather than “what’s wrong with it,” and embrace all aspects of ourselves as a path to centeredness, personal growth and spiritual evolvement.

Brian Weiss, M.D., author of Many Lives, Many Masters. Dr. Weiss taught me the art and skill of Regression Therapy and its healing power. He is a masterful clinician who focuses on the sources of our wounds, which can lead to healing. Brian is a most compassionate and gifted teacher/healer, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know and learn from him.

Carolyn Conger, Ph.D., embodies the marriage of the psychological and spiritual, with particular attention to the process of opening and unfolding. Carolyn has inspired me to trust the feminine process of intuition and creativity to help guide my clients to an inner wisdom and deeper self-compassion.

Meredith Sabini, Ph.D.has written extensively on dreams related to creativity, cultural issues, spiritual experience, the dying process and our relationship with nature. She is a pioneering researcher on dreams that diagnose illness. I am grateful for her enormous depth of wisdom and insight as I continue to learn and grow from her workshops and dream process group.

Marty Rossman, M.D.is an innovator in the field of mind/body medicine. Marty was my teacher as I completed a certification process in Interactive Guided Imagery. This profound healing tool accesses one’s own inner wisdom to work through deep wounds and practical concerns in a creative and lasting way.

Angeles Arrien, Ph.D.,  a world-renowned teacher, author and cultural anthropologist whose teachings bridge the disciplines of anthropology, psychology and comparative religion while focusing on universal beliefs shared by humanity. I am so appreciative of learning from, and experiencing, her profound and compassionate wisdom and grace, enabling me to draw insight from indigenous intelligence.
